Deconstructing ‘Gimme Shelter’: Listen to the isolated tracks of the Rolling Stones in the studio

I found it fantastic, and a good lesson in what goes on behind the scenes.

Simply amazing! No wonder there are so few Stones cover bands...their sound is so unique.

On a side note, I happened to watch the documentary "Gimme Shelter," about the Stones concert at Altamount in '69. What a crazy time the drugged out era was. The Stones were stone-cold sober but many of the fans were out of their minds. That's where the Hell's Angels were the band's security and one fan was stabbed to death.
