I indeed read about the problem you're having with the failed Yamaha USB Midi driver install on your PC. The fact that it installed on your laptop ok makes me suspect that there might be some kind of 'software conflict' going on. I suggest re-booting your PC with all 'startup files' DISABLED, and then attempt to re-install the Yamaha USB Midi driver again to see if this does the trick.
