Anyway, here is some reports to read and see:

We showed the "NEW" SD2 (SD2 with new software release which you can freely download at www.ketron.it).

Thanks,

Hi AJ ,
please ignore , found my answer.
-------------------------------------------
Hi AJ,
software release appears to be offline at the moment. Has something new been added in the last couple of weeks or so??

I've already downloaded the original stuff from a few weeks back.

Is this the update in question ? http://www.ketron.it/prodotti/dettagli.asp?sezione=5&idProdotto=24

If so, how do I know if mine are updated ? Is it important? I have two.

Hi Bernie,
I updated mine. My Sd2 was a few weeks older than yours though.

Not sure how. you can tell.

Reading the info though, I get the impression that if you for instance picked a non existing bank & sound , instead of getting no sound at all , it defaults to bank A.

I may not be correct, just the impression I get.

Maybe try a midifile & put in a bank number that doesn't exist in the sd2 & see what happens.

If you don't get any sound, let me know & I'll try it with mine.

best wishes

rikkisbears

You are correct (test for new OS). Since there is no display on the SD2, there wasn't a way for us to display OS installed!

Thanks,

AJ

Hi Bernie,
if they're working ok, maybe better just to leave them.

USA received them weeks after Aust did, possibly you may have the current operating system anyway.

As they use to say:
"If it isn't broke, don't fix it"

I only wish I did not sometimes too, but when there are updates
to download, usually it fix something.

Happy Playing.

hi rikki im in Sydney too
Could you tell me what price one is worth in Aussie also I cant seem to find any stated Polyphony as if they are hiding the truth.
Hopefully at least 64 note polyphonic.

Have googled and found no Aussie info...but i do know that Gospel Pianos sells Ketron if not in fact they are the importer but if I remember rightly their site does not show prices nor do they show the module

Any info on price and polyphony would be helpfull thanks.

my guess is 64 polyphony..this has been the minimum polyphony for Ketron products for many years.[since X1].

Hi Aussiekeys,
as far as I'm aware 64 note polyphony.
I think it might have been AJ that told me that.
They're more expensive here in Aust than overseas ( our dollar exchange rate)

Can't remember what I paid for it, I got one of the first few available here.
( somewhere round $600 to $700 ).
Do haggle over price though.
Info you can find here along with manuals etc. http://www.ketron.it/prodotti/index.asp?idTipo=2
