I've seen mint 3000's go for $1200-1500 CAN, but they were "mint"...no scrathes, and very little use at all.

It's a great keyboard...it has everything you need, plus it's using Mega Voice technology in the styles, and the panel layout is excellent.

The 3k's screen is better than the S900's, but not quite in the same league as the S910.

Hey Beaky check the data list of the S910.
it has all the new synth sounds, Synth Basses and Pads that the Tyros 3 has. It also has new drum kits (analog T8 and T9+ ethnic and other kits that are not in the T2).

I've owned the 2000, 3000, s900 and now the s910. The s910 is by far the best of the bunch and I think the 3000 is a better board than the s900. If you are moving up from a 740, either the 3000 or s910 will be a pleasant move, but once you play the s910 you probably wouldn;t want to go back to the 3000. Good luck.

I'm primarily a singer, therefore, the 3000 works just fine for me. My voice is essentially my right hand, and the few purely instrumental songs that I perform never seem to suffer using the 3000. Keep in mind, however, that I also have created several custom voices that I utilize and have more than 40,000 third-party style files that I've tuned for the 3000 as well. Many of those styles are song specific with song specific intros and endings. Most of those styles will work on the S-910 as well, but some may need a bit of tuning and tweaking in order to make them sound the way I want.

As I said above, that 3000 is light years ahead of the 740, and from what many performers say, the 910 is a big step up from the 3000.

If you're in the market for a 3000 head on over to psrtutorial.com and get in touch with the site's owner and developer Joe Waters. A few weeks ago he had his PSR3000 for sale at a very good price. Joe never gigged with it so to my knowledge it never left the study in his home.

Myself I can't come to terms with the 900 series rubber buttons, they flop side to side when pressed....(I call tacky)
Previous models PSR3000 appears to be made to a higher standard to last longer....or sorry forget we all in a throw away world.

Hi Graham...gee, nobody's going to jump on you for having an opinion...not here!

I actually love the rubber buttons...they are one of the reasons I like the S910 over the Tyros2/3...the buttons are "grippy" to my fingers and not "tacky"...maybe "sticky"...Ha Ha.

I like them so much, that, horror of horrors, as a clinician, I have requested similar buttons on the Tyros, in place of the huge "cough drop/candy" buttons, that are slippery and kind of "jukebox" looking to my eyes.

They probably won't change the Tyros buttons, but, I wasn't the only clinician who requested the rubbery buttons, so, not everyone is unhappy with them.

They are very durable too, as I've yet to have a failure on any of my demo instruments, and they get above average usage.

I like the idea of the NP-30 as a lower manual...I saw your setup on YPKO, and it's pretty darn cool...I have several clients who are now using a similar setup, both with the Tyros, and PSR-S910/S900...kudos to you for the idea.

PS...I would like to see the Tyros3/4's excellent screen on the next PSR-S-series, although the present screen is okay...the Tyros' even bigger screen would be nice (without the tilt feature, of course).

I stand corrected. I think I'm going to play synth for a little while.

I discovered these great synth voices not long ago myself, Beaky...they are terrific...some of them have the mod wheel assigned to open/close the filter.
