when I go from page to another page of the styles from HD, with buttons of style (jazz, latin...), if on style is playing, it will slow a little when it read from the HD...
when people dance, you can't do this...
And sometimes, when I change the style playing, the SD1 do a big HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
and i must reset it...
(I used a sampled drum kit)
the last gig . oh my god... my face was red...

Pls. be a little more specific (buttons pushed and in what sequence) so I can re-create the event here and find out where the problem is (if there is a software 'buugg').

Thanks,

AJ

Oh.. it's a difficult bug, because it not always appear. Most of time, it appear after 1 hour of work.

It appear only with the drum kit which use ram samples and if the arranger is playing when I change the pattern to one from the HD.
exp: i play one pattern, (from the ROM, flash RAM or HD) when is playing, I want to chain another pattern, I press the single ram style button, and i press one of style button to change the page of the screen. Then, when I press the button, the pattern wait a little (100 msec), as a computer too slow, who read a music.
but perhaps, when I change to another style (who use the sampled kit from ram) when the arranger play, the synth sing : LIJHFSJHSJLFGHSLGHSL!!!!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!

If you want, I send to you my oriental kit.
i know to send you all (wav files, msp files, ins files, pat files) but, where the kit mapping is saved?
and what is your email AJ?

Pls send me the suggested files to ketron_tech@yahoo.com

Now the best solution would be to either...

*(A) Create a STYLE BLOCK (block of styles within the Styles folder of your HD) you would like to use instantly with no delay) and use the Auto-load feature which will LOAD this new style block into RAM each time the keyboard is turned on. This way, you will experience NO delay when switching from one style to another.

*(B) Replace some of the FLASH styles (those denoted with Capital Letters) with your styles from HD. This will require that you delete some of the styles currently in FLASH; however, you will always have them in the newly created STANDARD folder.

The reason this is happening to you (probably after one hour) is that the HD goes into 'sleep/rest' mode depending on the time you set under DISK, UTILITY functions in order to preserve the life of the HD. The HD turns off when not used for a determined length of time. Now when this time elapses and you go back to access information from the HD, the disk requires some time to spin (turn on) and then 'read' the information. You will notice too that after the first 'read' operation, all the others are carried out successively quickly.

Set the sleep time to the max . value (don't remember for I do not have the SD1 infront of me at this time but will verify later tonight).

Thanks,

AJ
