I was intrigued with the Multi track ability of this unit in a small pocket size recorder...I really dont need one as I have these abilities in my studio....but in the road on a gig Korg might have a winner here!

All the tracks are saved individually and can be reassembled in a DAW...

Just not sure ping-ponging is the way to go any more, not with little 8 track record 16 track playback devices like the Zoom R16 also quite cheap...

Bottom line is that, honestly, the laptop you are typing this on is better for the job than most of these things if you want to record a masterpiece in your hotel room...

Diki...I had nop intention of buying one of these units ..but it was an interesting read, saw it in the new Sweetwater catalog.....if I want to record something on stage I can do it right in the KB MP3 recorder or even use my smart phone no biggie.
