Thing is, we ALL speak the only language that matters on this forum...

The language of MUSIC

(You thought I was going to say English, didn't you?! )

Overhere in Holland people get Dutch, English, German and French in high school.

But you can not truely learn a language in school... To learn a language you need to use it a lot. You need to live and breath it. You need to think in the other language instead of translating every sentence.

So i basically learned English and German by using it a lot, talking it on vacations and on the job. Reading English books and German magazines. Listening to English Music and watching English movies. And writing English on the Internet.

In school you only learn the basics of the language and then you need to use the tools they gave you to improve it to an acceptable level.

Boo, good to hear from you! Don, in a long, varied multi-element professional career, was a Corporate Comunictions Officer for a large oil company and an editor, in addition to owning his own club and (in a much younger life), probably chasing as many women as I have...probably with more success.

He and I have much similar backgrounds, career-wise, with the exception of our preferences in music.

When I grow up, I want to be just like him!

Taike, sorry as I did miss your particular response to Rikki. Strange too, as I enjoy reading your point of view as it is usually intellectually stimulating and mostly very good common sense. Thanks,
Keith

No problem, Keith. Happens to the best of us.

By the way, Keith, any fond memories of Switzerland? I was there years ago and loved it.
