Trouble is, Shim, if you are preparing Registrations, SMF's and voices on those tiny speakers at home, things are going to sound VERY different when you get to the gig...

"you get what you pay for" usually helps

If you're really trying to get something on the cheap but the Logitech don't appeal to you, maybe just run into your aux in on your home stereo and see how that works.

I don't think it will be very good at all, but it might meet your needs for awhile. Watch your volumes!

What about a pair of $50 headphones until you can save up 300-500 bucks for a better alternative?

shim, I understand, I have my Korg pa2x in my open plan home so discrete appearance is particularly appreciated by my wife! The z2300s sound just fine for home use and look great. I have the pa2x against a wall and have mounted the 2 speakers on the wall. I use the tyros stand at home and the z2300 subwoofer sits neatly underneath the keyboard. You will need to get a y cable to convert the 1/8 stereo plug to the right and left 1/4 outputs on the keyboard. I keep the z2300 vol and bass control on the top of the subwoofer, easy to reach if I do want to adjust it.

All neatly cable tied to the stand which I leave in place so it's an easy matter to just disconnect all the cables and off you gig!

Best wishes

Graham

Diki, I hear. But will it be THAT different? Do you expect me to use my 300 watt. speakers for home use? Are the Yamaha (trms2 ?) speakers really THAT different from the others? I think it's just a marketing gimmik from yamaha to make some extra cash off you. No?

Bill, you have a point, I might just do that..!

PraiseTheLord, that's a nice setup you have!
The tip about the y cable is exactly what I wanted to hear, IF THESE CHEAPER SPEAKER SYSTEMS NEED AN ADAPTER TO PLUG IN TO THE TYROS.
