Our friend Hank is in the hospital. In addition to his normal ailments he has a bad Gall Bladder, which they will remove tomorrow, and is Pancreas is acting up also.
He already has COPD and congestive heart failure that he has been dealing with.
I hope you will keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
He's having a procedure done on his Pancreas today, so I will visit him later this afternoon.

Don, Send my best to Hank. My wife had problems with her gall bladder. I've never seen her in that kind of pain ever. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Everybody that has ever met Hank knows there is no one better. He would give you the shirt off his back, then offer to have it cleaned and ironed for you!

While Hank maintains a very low profile here, he is one of the more memorable of all the guys I met at Shreveport a couple of years ago. Within minutes of meeting him, you feel like you have known him all your life.

All the Best to You, Hank.

Never met the man but I'm hoping for the best for him. He reminds me of an old friend of mine who taught me some good lessons about the business.
If any of you talk to him personally please tell him his fellow musicians are pulling for him.

My contact with Hank was thru Don, on a purchase. He conducted himself like a gentleman, and I would love to visit someday.

Get better, friend,

Don:

So sorry to hear about Hank's condition. Give him my best and I will be on my knees tonight mentioning his name "Upstairs." Thanks for letting us know. Don't forget to take good care of yourself, by the way. We aren't gettin' any younger... at least not me... LOL!

Hank was in surgery for quite a long time. They didn't remove his gall bladder. They did put a stint in his Pancreas. They are now awaiting the results of some tests. I don't know much more than that.
He is in pretty good spirits, but they gave him some Demerol, so he's pretty groggy now.
I'll let you know when I hear more.

I went to visit Hank this morning. He is feeling much better since they got his Pancreas and liver working again. Still waiting for some test results to see if liver function is getting better, but his jaundice is gone and he feels much better.
No decision about the gall bladder yet.
They didn't make an incision, they went down through his throat! I didn't know you could get to the pancreas that way, Modern medicine can do wonders.
Hank wanted me to tell you how much he appreciates your support, prayers and wishes.

Thanks for all the prayers and concerns; they found a blocked duct between the liver, gallbladder and pancreas that caused pancreatitis. They had to put in a stint don’t know what will be the outcome but I fell 100% better. Again thanks.

Wow.. I missed this thread entirely until seeing it today. I'm glad the surgery went well Hank. You know the routine right? The three "R's".. NO, not "reduce, reuse, recycle" - although your mid-section could use a little reducing perhaps. >> REST, RELAX, RECHARGE. Now that's the ticket, right? Stay well my friend..

All the best,
Mike
