Audya 1st

PA 2XPro

Tyros 3

Intersting to hear but I'm not sure what it means. Presumably if I want the best sounding 3rd Party midis (as opposed to those recorded directly using the best of the on-board voices in each case) - then I should pick the Audya???

Not counting the harmonica (is horrible in all three):

1) Pa2x
2) T3
3) Audya (mmm... brush drums????...why???)

Well these are my choices:

Audya 1st

PA 2XPro 2nd

Tyros 3 3rd

The audya seemed more alive and most full
The Korg seemed alive but not as full.
The Tyros seemed compressed.

and I'm a yamaha owner........

I wouldn't worry about them, they feel the same way about many other stores also. I haven't found one in seven years. you will do just fine with the other brands you carry.

To my ears the PA2XPRO was the only one that played the harmonica solo track good enough so that I didn't think there was so much lousy pitch bend information being played wrong as I heard on the Auyda and the Tyros3. Actually, I thought the Audya was the worst. I didn't like the drum tom tom sounds as the intro ending and it added the drums. The Tyros and the Korg I thought sounded better.
I thought the Piano sound on the Korg was clearly better than the other two.
I would rate them
1-Korg
2-Yamaha
3-Audya

First let me say "Thank You" to Frank for taking the time to do this!!

PA2xpro
Tyros3
Audya

The Audya?? Wow ... Thought it would sound much better?? Tyros3 sounds as expected very good but not as "Live" sounding. Frank did you "Upgrade" the Midi for the Tyros? Run it through the "Enhancement" program? Forgot what it's called? I believe this is an excellent way to compare keyboards. I have done this at my local Sam Ash with the Pa2x and the Tyros3.

I think all of them were terrible!!
But if I were to say which one had an edge it would be the T3. Not that it sounded good, it just had a smoother flow to playing the song. I think the Korg and the Ketron are tide for last place.
It was nice to have that demo thanks for it. Not that I think the demo proves anything because as we know, none of us just take a midi file an play it without editing it for our specific keyboard.

I'm sure there are much better midis that could have been used, I was going to play similar styles of the 3 for the next demo

What do you think?
