I've heard this so many time, just don't know the title. It's the very first tune that is played on this GW-8 demo video from the Roland site.

Also, can you share some of your favorite latin dance tunes that generally get the (non-latin) crowd up on their feet??

Demonstrators often play tunes that are original, at least in the sense that they SOUND like something you know, but actually aren't, to avoid copyright issues (having to pay royalties on the tune) and the like, at least on web demos...

I have a feeling he's just extemporizing Or maybe jamming Perhaps he's just making it up

This is a Latin riff that has been used in many recordings, that's why it sounds familiar. One of the pads on my KN6500 had the same riff less some notes.

Hello:

That is a "generic" piano groove and some people knows it as "tumbao"....because the thumb alternates notes as is been played.

One thing....the GW8 style list is missing in the manual, so, there is no way to find what kind of latin or what latin beats it has. I guess Roland missed that one.
If someone has it, could email it to me please, I appreciate it.
