Here is the audio track of the demo DVD, I have used the highest bit rate to get the best sound, however please be aware that it still lacks compared to the Dolby Digital soundtrack on the DVD.
Due to the size I have split it into parts, also towards the end you get a few distortion peaks due accidentally going into the red, and are not a problem with the Tyros 3.
The breaking news item at the end is the new vocal pack for Tyros 3, with pricing and availability yet to be confirmed.
Finally, only on a very few sounds were the pitch and modulation wheels used, the rest was done by the Tyros 3 itself.
I hope you enjoy it.

Hi Bill and all,
Have just listened to the demonstration of T3 now. Well, what can I say, it sounds good.
I have also heared a few demos earlier on, but some of the new drum kits sounded very good. Will definitly try the T3 as soon as it becomes available.
But the brass sounds didn't impress me that much. Some of the trumpets sonded a bit synthetic. What do you all think?
But over all, it's good!
Take care,
Christian

very nice, but i am afraid T3 sounds very much the same as T2. No reason to upgrade whatsoever. But shrewd peopel into yamaha should be looking to pick up cheap T2 right about now.

Tip:
Make sure you listen to the demos on a quality audio system, as computer speakers just don’t cut it.
The DVD (With the Dolby Digital soundtrack) can be obtained from the Yamaha Club UK.
BTW if you can’t hear a lot of difference between many of the sounds between T2 and T3, (The original T2 NOT the T2 voices on the T3) then you most definitely require a better audio system. (Even the mp3 shows the difference)
As to whether it’s worth upgrading; only YOU can decide that, but just make sure you play and hear it live before making a decision.

Bill

I spoke with my dealer in Sheffield (Millington Music) this week.
He is taking in 17 (yes 17 !) T2's mid October in part exchange for T3's

Yes, its already starting... now is the time if you need to buy a Tyros2 people are dumping them feverishly.....they will be flooding the USED market as we speak for sure. And in approximately two years the Tyros 3 will follow suit.

It's a vicious cycle!

Yes, it is. But what's wrong with swapping for a better keyboard? I'll be getting a Tyros 3 soon (first Tyros), and will likely skip past T4. Those who skipped T3 and waitied for T4 will say how worthwhile it was. Those, like me, who maybe skipped T4 will then have the same "satisfaction" when T5 comes out... Wait, don't wait. Skip, don't skip...it makes no difference in the end, just enjoy what you have.

Hey gang...another way to look at it is.
I'm 60 now. I just attended this last couple of monthes 3 funerals of people younger than me!

'IF' you can afford it...go out and get yourself a new T3, PA2XPRO, Audya (someday), G something and enjoy it!

If you wait for T4...maybe it's too late? (Illness etc?)

And it helps the economy!

And share here how much fun you are having with it!
