I know I can find info and forums on the net but I was wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with it.

My sister has one; she loves it. I love to listen to it when I visit. I came 'this close' to purchasing one (silver) last week at a Bose store. It's either that or a 3-2-1 system, I think.

Donny have you heard Uncle Dave's?

Cassp are you thinking of the radio and cd player or just the radio?
I too almost bought the radio but then thought how convenient to have a cd player built in, but @ 499 thats 150 bucks more for a 20 dollar cd player. I have a bunch of single cd players but then I lose the compactness (?) of a one piece unit.

Hi gang,
I have the larger model from a few years ago ... not the table radio with alarms. I think it's called the acoustimass. I did take it on a job in a small restaurant and it was pretty impressive. I really just wanted to test if it could handle the power of the vocal peaks and it did! There's not enough advantages to make this a road setup - it's over $1000, no tone controls, and even their own 2.1 systems sound better because of the woofer. For what it is, it's awesome, but it's not as effective as other choices for live performances with strong vocals.

I'm thinking of it strictly as a home unit just wondering if the sound is impressive enough to justify the money.
I mean does it really fill the room with sound and take the place of a larger stereo system?

I guess I'm gonna have to do the 30 day trial.

If Paul Harvey says it's so, then it must be so!

I LOVE mine for home use. It sounds so true and clean, and yes, it fills the whole room better than larger speakers.... but you knew that!

I just ordered the wave II radio figure I'll probably use it more with my mp3 player than with cd's any how.
I'm thinking, it seems small enough, I can use it for my recording monitors and with my laptop, and in my bedroom, and out on the deck.......

Don,
Paul Harvey haven't heard that name in years, we don't get him around here anymore.
But through the modern miracle of the internet I found him and can listen online thanks for reminding me.

.

>>>..I can use it for my recording monitors and with..>>>>

Bose products do not make good recording monitors. They pass your signal through a synthesis processor that uses "psychoacoustics" to create a sound that may not be in the original signal. Bose makes everything sound good. Problems in your mix may not show up, and if they dont show up you cant fix 'em.

I have used my Waveradio for small-room gigs and it works very well.

Thanks for the reminder but I don't do any serious recording where it would matter. I'm not loking for reference monitors just something with a small footprint for the laptop in my spare room/studio.
Maybe it will make me sound good!

Nah, that's probably asking too much even for bose.
