I want to thank all of you who post the youtube videos. Not only do I get to see and hear what you're talking about, it ends up being a 30-45 minute search session for related and unrelated videos. It's a great activity for a boring day.

It's amazing what's there. All this time until recently I though YouTube wa just a junk place where teens put fighting, and crazy stuff I would not care for.

WOW, lots of neat stuff on there.

YouTube is very cool. There is some great music on there. I have lost a lot of time there.

I posted this link in The Bar. It is http://vixy.net that is an online converter that converts YouTube videos into AVI or MP4 etc. so you can save them for playing on your PC. Very useful for those videos that you worry that YouTube may remove at some time.

I recently got a 32 gig iPod touch with wifi access. It's very entertaining to click on the you tube link while hooked up with wifi, just type a search for one of your favorites and surf from one video to the next. The amazing thing is if you search for most well known performers( and even some lesser known) you can find video performances. Try a search for the "Fabulous Baker Boys" and watch Michelle do a stunning performance while on top of a grand piano singing Makin Whoopee. Or try Michael Renzi a former local Rhode Island jazz pianist who went on to back singers Mel Torme and Peggy Lee.

Nigel and Vadim thanks for that useful info.
