I had an 8k(actually two of them)for quite a while.

Too bad it only had two variations per style...I would have kept it much longer.

I had the 8000, and my biggest complaint is that they didn't give us those amazing techno multipads on the future models. The dance section of the 8000 ruled supreme - better even than the Tyros.

I even tried recording the pads onto a sequencer to port back into the Tyros, but it didn't work.

Hopefully they'll give us more dance pads and styles on the T3...

Also check out the 8 wheels under the screen. I can think of no great reason that they stopped making those - they are even better than faders - because it's a wheel, its always at the right place unlike a fader...

Chony the faders are correct on the G70..What you see you get..If you select the manual tab instead of presets....It works as it should..The wheels do not allow you a physical view of the settings as the draw bars do....especially when you are in another window view..and on top of that you can not have the manual control that "only" draw bars give you..

Real drawbars make it so much easier, visually & most of all Psychically I agree.
Im hoping the new & coming Gx90 retains the bars for sure!!

I didn't like wheels on the PSR-8000, nor did I think the faders on the G70 were all that good either...both are compromises.

Real drawbars are the ticket...a la Hammond or Roland VK.

IMO, the wheels are still better. Of course for the organ you would want drawbars - but not for anything else. Frankly, I do not even use the drawbar organ on my T23 - ever.

Also Ian, remember that the T2 is not an organ - its a keyboard. Once you ask for drawbars, guitarists will ask for Wawa pedals (not a pad idea), and wind players for a plug in reed for expression (also not a bad idea), and drummers will ask for built in sticks (very bad idea.)

For all other things, the wheels are more convenient. And yes you can see where their positions are. The max you have to do is hit the "exit" button to see them at the bottom of your screen.

Whatever your opinion, hands down it beats what we have now!

I can understand why you liked them, Chony...I really found them convenient for programming.

I did find them awkward when trying to move more than one...not as easier to grab as the physical "drawbars" I was used to on my Hammond.

I think Nord has the best compromise of all with the Nord C1 organ...visually available all the time...much better (and probably more reliable)than faders and wheels which can get dirty over time.

I know you guys get right into the keyboard that is being used – BUT you missed something. When you open the site on the right side where it displays other videos – down four is THE NEW TYROS 3. AaaaaaaH.

Give a good look, John C.

Bathroom humor was part of my family. Some months ago my three sons who are on in years stayed up in Maine on the coast. Bathroom humor was still with us, I guess it is a part of the child in us that we do not wish to let go.

If I have offended anyone by the Tyros 3 video I do apologize.
