Eww ,,, ugly speaker grills. I prefer the way the PA800 has them blended in to the body.

I think it's a great niche keyboard. For someone who really needs or wants a piano keyboard, this baby even provides great arranger features. It may be heavy at 51 lbs., but those who tote around 88's to solo or combo gigs are already used to the size and weight.

As for looks, it looks a lot better than...

me.

That's why I didn't buy the Tyros2...too many sharp corners and edges...big clunky buttons...radical styling doesn't always work.

The S900, on the other hand, is a paragon of good taste and restraint.

The T3 will look a lot like the S900...

The PA-588 at least looks cool...in a 60's Sci-fi sort of way....damn sight better than the PA-800/500...they look like something from Fisher-Price.

At least the Korg Songbook & TC Helicon VOC offset Blue color vs the KaZoo like UNusable Vocalizer & non Transpose saving MFD on Yamaha.....

I agree on you T2 defunct design assessments though

If Yamaha will just improve & add those two things I for one will be onboard.

Yes Donny, I agree...the Tyros2(and S900) don't have the equal of the Korg's vocal processor.

Hopefully, the Tyros3 (and new S-series)will have an improved VP.

Ian I think its time they step up in the VP dept & MFD needs Improvement also. They already have the sounds & styles locked up.

Its a shame I have to use a external VP like the new TC Harmony4 when the S900 has a VHP on board Argggg! More stuff to lug & plug in
