Does the s900 have live drum kits as tyros 1? What about simultaneous dsp and the number of dsp effects? Also..does the s900 have the same panel buttons as tyros 1? Is the effects, mixer section like tyros 1? Are the multipads on s900 powered by megavoice? Styles too?

If you like the Tyros drums you will like the S900 drums.

Has been? Nah....for the most part just a glorified rehashed 3k with a few nice T2
SA sounds, recording to TD ability difficult view display, terrible Voc harmony processor, very light keytouch, & a few plugin input design placement flaws. If your a Yammy person you'll know how to use some "workarounds" to make it all come together.

The vocal harmonizer is not as good as Roland, Korg or Ketron, but I would stop far short of calling it terrible. I use it every night and members of my audience often come up and comment about where I'm getting the "other singer". The key is to set it up properly and not overuse it.

Oh man, I was in love with my S900 until you reminded me of all its shortcomings...hmmm...second thought, I still love 'er - warts and all! I guess what they say is true - love is blind. 8)

Don Im well aware of the Vocalizer in the Yamahas....& yes I know how to set it up properly. I can make it work, but in no way is it the quality of the G70, SD1 or PA800, & in no way am I happy with the sound..
Yamaha has not improved this feature since the psr2000 thru the T2, plain & simple.
I'm embarrassed to even use it sparingly on stage so most times I just omit it.....
I'm hoping the new TC Helicon Harmony M will be a good alternative when I get it...
we'll see. Some inebriated & straight audience members still think we're all DJ's using cassettes...
tells ya allot eh?
