You think the G70 is heavy?

My Gator case was stored behind the decorated Xmas tree at the Yacht club gig..It was standing up and declded to slide[yes it has wheels]...Well it took out the tree..balls flying everywhere..

I thought it was funny..

Just a normal NYE, which I'm thankful for.

Cheers,

I was extremely rushed between 2nd & 3rd jobs.

Got to the 3rd a bit late. Everyone was in the room. I frantically set up as quickly as possible, took a deep breath and started to sing my first song. My mic was in its holder, but the mic cord was still in the case. Had to stop the song and walk across the room - embarrassing.

Well, Fran, glad to hear the case didn't take you out, "balls flying everywhere"! Not a pretty sight.

The real excitement was Saturday night. Alabama and Colorado football teams were in town for the Independence Bowl.
Coaching staff and supporters of BOTH teams came in and were all in a partying mood. I would get tipped to play Sweet Home Alabama, and then tipped to NOT play it!
Much fun though.
New Year's Eve was rather routine. Lots of people. It started slow and for the first two hours people mostly ate and listened. The last two was PARTY TIME. For some reason though tips were really slow, despite lots of requests.
However, two kind customers made it all right at the end of the night, plus the boss gave me a nice bonus. Don't know why. Doesn't everyone play from 6:30 to 1:30 with one break?
Happy New Year!

Best part for me on my Third gig of the day besides the excellent Huge Italian Buffet .......at 11:45pm they put down a big 10 foot Movie screen in front of the stage & ME with a Satellite Feed from Times Square to watch the ball come down at Midnight!!....While everyone was busy doing the Kissy Kissy Thing they didn't raise it until 12:15!!!......I did 3 more songs & the gig ended at 12:30 packed up & headed home oh yeah! .... did I tell you I love being a Pro Musician?
