Hi Tony, though I of course am open to ALL OFFERS , I need to emphasize that it's the best 'reasonable offer' that wins.

Ok, I've received several offers already, so to everyone seriously interested, get your bid offer in ASAP, as it's not only the best reasonable bid offer I get, but who I recieve it from first, that wins.

I'll trade a Casio WK3000, four old mics and a Crawfish dinner, but you have to deliver the Tyros.

Fran, just 'how many' people here do you REALLY know, who are actually dumping their Tyros, and not upgrading to a Tyros2? Don't want to sound touchy here, but you really need to backup your claims & predictions with some facts, and not simply spread rumors. - Scott

Scott, just the last couple weeks there have been many people posting that they are selling their Tyros, some linking to Ebay..I didn't say I knew of anyone that was not going to get a TYROS2, but suggested that we make an observation of how many really follow through and get the Tyros2 after "dumping" the Tyros...

Scott, what's with this spreading rumors thing?
Just placing food for thought!!!

It could be with the introduction of the PAX, G70, SD-1 exp....that people just have more good KB choices......many people want better keyfeel & 76 keys besides many other features not found in Tyros I or II .

I find it oddly (hypocritical?) that you would get all bent out of shape over Rolandfan's use of the word "Christ" in this thread , yet now, have no problem using insulting terminology in your reference to "dumping" the Tyros, obviously said merely to provoke & press 'hot emotional' issue buttons.

Interestingly enough, I suspect you & DNJ would be the first to get upset if someone used the "dump" terminology to whatever your latest keyboard owned or 'just purchased' was: G1000, MidJay, Roland G70, etc.

I believe, in both cases, the issue is more about tactfulness & consideration, than anything else.

Scott, you are "out to lunch" again..
First of all, I did not bring the word "dumping " into the thread initially..I used the word as a reference to previous comments..
And how in the world, you can relate "Taking the Lord's name in vain" with using the word "dumping" ....
As for getting excited about dumping G1000's...Give me a break...

Maybe you should have your emotional buttons checked out..

Take a deep breathe and have a cup of tea..that's what I am going to have...

Yes I do for the last year or so Fran as you WELL Know ....But I have not been totaly happy with it in some ways.....yet I made it work for me with cutomizations & work arounds to suit my needs on stage.....although its a great sounding keyboard for sure, there are too many needs that the 3k doesnt address sadly It will be my last Yamaha KB as I now have had enough & as a Profesional need to move on to other gear....

I just wonder why this thread originally posted by Scott, slowly transforms to a more or less 'childish' conversation because of two members.

If you have nothing relevant to say in a specific thread, please do say nothing.

We all have a right to have an opinion fortunately, but please stop repeating all the time...... OK ?

Perhaps it's that HIGHLY caffinated Chinese tea that got me going.

Fran, seriously though, considering we all know here how much you continue to worship your G1000, perhaps a 'close second' to: God, Jesus, and your family . . . and that others here may just have a different keyboard religion than yours . . . ok, I think you get my case in point. - Scott

WOW!!

How's the sale going?
I sold my Tyros and don't plan on getting the T2, but I don't use it professionally so probably it doesn't count.

I really haven't decided yet, but I am gonna "dumb it down" a little. I'm part of a music production company that rents sound systems and provides backline for major artists passing through the area, so I have access to almost any keyboard. But I will miss the arranger, the problem with the Tyros was I just didn't use it enough.I hated seeing all that money siting there doing nothing. And UD was right I really missed the built in speakers. You know just turn it on and play.
I'm thinking of waiting for the next psr 300? whatever.Or may buy a used 2000 or 3000 again.
But right now I'm putting my Karaoke and DJ system together with the Bose So I'm a little preoccupied. Although as soon as it left I missed it.

I sold my Tyros and right now I'm planning on playing the G70 and the Tyros2 to see which one floats my boat.

I'm so pissed at Yamaha for not making a 76 key Tyros, I may not buy one just on that principle alone.

However, there are a few things with the G70 that have me concerned like no sampling / sample playback, and displaying Text on screen. Those have become must haves for me. I could get around the 76 key issue with a controller, but it pains me to do "workarounds". But, those Tyros2 Sounds....hmmmmm.

I noticed you're selling the Kaces Porter. What kind of a case is going to work for the Tyros 2?

What exactly are you calling text display?..If the G70 version 2 follows the VA7 version2..it does have text display..the VA allowed full edited of text within the keyboard..
I would suggest anyone interested in any board...go out and test it for yourself..and don't rely totally on another's opinion or observation...they may be wrong..
