I read in one of the other forums that you can change the zip drive to a 250 meg and add a hard drive. If this can be done, does anyone have the step by step instructions to do this?

Thanks

Frank,
as far as I know, I don't think that the OS of the VA7 can handle a Zip drive other than 100 Mb and the hard disk......well, that is "first on my priority list" for the next Roland arranger, but I think that adding an hard disk (and having the OS handle it) is WAY more complicated that simply changing a zip from 100 to 250 Mb.
My ideal arranger should combine:
- sounds from VA7, SD1 and 9000 pro
- styles from VA7 and SD1
- OS and interface from 9000 pro
- hard disk and sampling ability from SD1 or 9000 pro.
Enjoy your toys!
Andrea

I understand from Roland U.K the VA76 can't read a 250meg Zip. but it is shown in the spec. on following site.http://www.roland.co.jp/worldwide/products/CK/arranger_workstations/VA-7-5/VA-7-5.html
