A little annoyance I have found on the PSR2000: Say you want to start a song without using the style's intro... so you select the style, and hit one of the variation buttons. It starts blinking and will give you a one measure riff intro whether you want an intro or not.

If you pre-select the variation button before hitting a style, the variation button does not blink and the style will start without the riff.

(Just another tid-bit for Scotty's book)

Another way around it, when you select the variation, just push the button twice.

If PSR2000 is set to fill-in, pressing a variation button twice will get rid of the fill in, before style play and during style play.

...pick ...pick ....pick

That's a "button conservation" feature! This way you have a choice of starting with a fill or not. It's like having 5 intros available at once - PLUS, the other two variations in the intro menu.
One push gets a fill - Two pushes starts without. It's too easy.
