The PSR2000 is a fantastic keyboard, much better than my old PSR740. I did a gig at a charity, mostly seniors, and about 10 people gathered around my keyboard after the show to look at and ask questions about my PSR2000, they were so amazed by the sounds that were coming out.

With the PSR740, the vocals get thickened with the harmonizer, but with the PSR2000, you can really turn up the vocals and the harmonies are much clearer.

The lightning quick access to floppy styles gives you access to hundreds of styles with One Touch Settings including the amazing CVP209 styles I recently posted.

For the price I paid on this thing, I just can't believe how much it does.

Larry,

In spite of the emails we sent each other concerning the not so great electric guitar sounds, I too really like the board a lot.
Amazing functions for the price. I also upgraded from the 740 and had to use XG works to do any meaningful patch editing at all. The 2000 for me is the equivalent of a nicely souped up 740 with practically all of the most important editing functions of Xg works installed in it.
Real easy to use in a live setting too.

Hi Larry,
About 5 or 6 years ago I bought a PSR-510,
I bought it because it had a lot of good country Styles & a several that could be used for country.
Well I've had my new 2000 for about 3 wks. now and I really missed a few of the files from the 510! I ask Don Mason if he had ever found a way to transfer styles from his 510 to his 2000. He said no! But then he told me that the PSR-1700 had a lot of the 510 styles! He was right! I'd say probably 75% or more. I down loaded them from the web!
I'm having a ball with this board!
Catch you later,
Nobby

While you're at it, check out the amazing CVP209 styles with OTS posted at egroups. Plus check out the PSR9000 styles, the PSR 740 styles, and if you are not spoiled with 4 variation styles like I am, the PSR8000 styles. Plus there are a lot of great styles from other brands of keyboards (even though some need a little bit of editing).

I am finally starting to feel like I have enough styles.

Larry,
I think I have most of them!
I got styles from those you menchend.
I have some that must have some kind of a glitch, You push ending key they just might start the ending all over! You have to be ready to hit stop.Realy its safer to punch sync start. I;ve hit stop and the drums start up again!
Anyway I love the board!

Nobby,

If you have tech troubles with the styles, download them again. If you still have problems, either there is something wrong with your PSR or with the files. I can email them to you.

I've been reading posts about the new PSR2000 and I have heard lots of good things about Yamaha and its keyboards.

I am glad that everybody is having fun with their new keyboards! Yamaha is an excellent company and I am really considering them when buying a new keyboard in the future. The MOTIF keyboard, with what I've read, seems to be the best keyboard out yet. The PSR series is impressive as well, including the PSR2000, and I am going to make a website dedicated to Yamaha and General Music keyboards. It will compare them and have specification charts as well as articles. I'll let you guys know when the site is done!

Well, glad that you are enjoying your keyboards and keep on playing!
Ryan
