I've been really physched over the past few weeks My wife and I are buying our first house. We got a great deal on a home just five minutes from where we live now. It's 2000 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths formal living room and dining room, family room with wood burning fireplace, deck and patio, all windows and doors are only 3 years old, central air system just 3 years old, huge fenced back yard, AND THE BEST PART!!!!!!!!!!! Separate inlaw quaters with a private entrance and private bathroom as well. My wife said I could have the inlaw suite It's going to make one hell of a studio. We should be closing end of this week.

Just wanted to share,
Squeak

Congrats, enjoy. I suspect that we'll be seeing a bit less of you here while you're setting up the new studio (what, there's more to the house?).

Starkeeper,
Yeah the wife's got a really good job (Federal Government Employee). Once our daughter is in school I'll go back to work myself.

My health has been pretty good lately. Blood pressure gets up every so often, but when it does it doesn't get too high. Just taking it day by day

I totally agree... the best investment one can make. My wife and I were very lucky going into this too. The mortgage broker practically passed out when we initially submitted our paper work for approval. My wife and I (prior to buying the home) had absolutely NO debt. No college bills, no car payments (both my cars are paid off), no loans of any sort, perfect banking history (never bounced one check or overdrew and funds), credit is beautiful, spotless utility payment history. When it comes to paying our bills we pay them the VERY same day we get the bill in the mail. If I get a bill at 12:30pm a check is written and it's right back in the box to go out. Our approvoal took all of 10 minutes.

Congrats Squeak!

I haven't been following this forum too much lately since I am pretty much a solo entertainer now without an arranger.

I do enjoy seeing how everybody is doing, however.

I can recall your move into a condo and your excitement over that and now this move into a house. It's really nice watching your young family progress and I wish nothing but the best for you and your family in your new house.

Take care.

Tommy
