I'm wondering if anyone has utilised the usb ports on Tyros2 for a usb light to use for reading sheet music. If so did they buy a specialised usb light or would any work from a computer store.

I've not got a Tyros, but I do have a PSR3000 in which the USB port has enough grunt to drive a 20GB external USB hard disc.

On this basis the Tyros should have no problem driving a USB LED light.

I don't think you need a special type.

However you may have to look around for something with enough spread to be able to illuminate all the music

I use a long neck led lamp on my Tyros 2. It works great, I can snake it under and in front of the music stand to light up the sheet music. i don't remember the brand off hand, but I bought it a regular computer store J&R Music I think.

I use one, a cheapy from Circuit City. Works just fine. I just use it to see the buttons better at night.

Can you provide more detail about these lamps? A picture of the lamp would be great! How does it attach to the keyboard? I have had several models but none of them fully satisfies my needs. Thanks,

Thanks for all the replies. You are a very helpful set of people. I'm on vacation in Dallas TX (I now live in UK) and want to pick up a USB light on this trip. Didn't find a Tyros 2 in the Guitar Center
here but found one in Guitar Center near Clearwater Florida where I was last week. If anyone knows where there is a Tyros 2 near Dallas I would appreciate the info.
