HI guys,
Long time ago I was performing in a trio(2 keyboard players & guitar pl.) with PSR 510...I succeed some good reusults,even reprogramed few stiles...Then I decide to play in a ful band so I bought a "non Arranger" keybord... I played many kinds of synths- TR le,STUDIO,X2...now I'm playing Fantom X6(which I'm selling) and waiting for K2661 to ships...
...but what I realy want to say is that I'd like to buy an aranger keyboard to gig at workdays without a band but can't decide what to buy...SD1plus,Pa1xpro or Tyros?????

I owned them all.... the absolute winner (for me) is the Tyros!
Pros : Ease of use, nice display, lowest weight of the three you mentioned, best styles, quick operation..etc.

Although I play a PSR3000. Of the 3 you mentioned I would go for the Korg PA1XPro. Korg don't keep changing models every 2 years (Neither does Ketron) but Korg are continually adding new features with new OS Updates. The PA1 is also very well made and as you say does NOT look like a toy. You can happily get to know this board and it will serve you for years as a good work horse.

It is not only your perception.
Tyros likes a toy, but doesn't sound like a toy.
But its key feel and size are bad, like a toy.

...if there is a 61 keys version of PA1X(but without spekers)maybe I'll buy it this moment...I had TR STUDIO pro(76 key version)and when I had to go to gig every time I got a headache...It hardly fits to my car...

What do you suggest to buy?

I played the PA1X and Tyros. Sounds are good in both. Tyros have ease of use, nice display, lowest weight, quick operation, no speakers, better O.S. and the best support on the net... But Korg have better styles (in my opinion), standard key size (Yamaha have smaller key size), better key feel, better built and it don not like a toy.

It is a matter of what of that do you give more importance in your decision. Because of that, it is dificult to suggest a buy. It is your decision. Try all the three for yourself.
And PSR3000 is not a bad decision for the money you pay for, of course.

...what's wrong with SD1plus???

hey slow, another one to throw in the ring is the new GEM GenesysPro, (or the equivalent module XP) i owned a PA1X-pro but swapped it for the XP module, and the stuff it can do is amazing, and forget recording just MP3's the genesys records full audio (cd quality) straight to the hard drive and then you can burn the cd on the same machine with its INBUILT cd-rw drive...look theres lots more..so you would have to listen to the demos and look at specs yourself, BUT do check it out b4 you commit to any other 'board..addy is www.generalmusic.us

Realize the 'toyish looking'Tyros housing contains 128 note polyphony machine. SD1 & Korg have 64 and 62 (!) note polyphony.

Both the SD1 en PA1 show timing problems/latency while playing. It took a while before I got used to the very fast sound-generator of Tyros. Especially the brass-sound is soo much faster.

The keyfeel on Tyros is not as good as the Korgs/Ketrons...... but 'bad'? NO!

Sure I could list lots of pros and cons of all, but personal ranking (1-10):
Tyros = 9
SD1 = 8
PA1 = 7

...it will be great if the TYROS would look like KORG i30(silver)....

I sold the Tyros and bought SD1 because, in my opinion, it sounds better.

...I heard that Ketron OS somethimes can crashdown...is that a true?

I have done over 200 gigs since I purchased my Tyros 3 years ago. All of my gigs were in a band situation. The Tyros has the best variety of sounds for use on stage with a band that I've heard on all the other keyboards. However, that is only my opinion AND I've only heard recordings of the other keyboards you mentioned.

I will say, my little Tyros has held up very well being moved over 200 times.

The only thing I HATE about the Tyros is it's stupid 61 (short) mushy keyboard; YUK!!!

If the next Tyros does not come in a 76 key model, I am switching to another arranger that does; PERIOD!!! I don't care what Yamaha comes out with as far as sounds, MEGA-WIDGETS, etc. It's all about the KEYBED!
