Hmm.. wonder what's going to be new?

Hopefully..... EVERYTHING!

Roland Keyboard Club was the lamest arranger site Roland ever put out. You get FAR more information, discussion and support and FREE styles and setups from the Danish G70 Users Club. AND..... it's independent of Roland, so you can go there for the real, unvarnished truth, not the sales drivel most manufacturers sites are.

The 'new' Roland Keyboard Club is out.

Looks like a mere cosmetic face-lift. :-(

Yes, it's much nicer than the previous design. And now MidiSpot has set up shop to sell new styles online. That's great.

I do hope they will have a users forum, though.

There is already a free, independent User's Forum (several, actually) at the Danish site (now in English, German and Danish!)

No manufacturer's censorship (hurrah!), but a tacit presence by the G70/E80 development team. A member recently visited their headquarters in Italy, and they acknowledged regularly monitoring the site for user feedback and ideas. Pretty good, eh?

Other than Ralph Schinck's monthly short Tips and Tricks column, there is nothing at the site other than manuals and demos you can find elsewhere, and MidiSpot's sales portal for styles and songs (also at their own website).

Perhaps things may get better in weeks to come (one can only hope!) but things need to get a LOT better before Roland Keyboard Club can compete with similar Yamaha sites and even the independents.

Why can i not find even one demo of Ralph Schink playing the g70 ? There is a tips and tricks link on the roland site but no actual online demonstration !! Whats going on there ? I know the G70 had a false start earlier and perhaps roland did not want to demo the instrument sound previously but i believe most if not all the sonic problems have been ironed out so why do we not have arguably rolands best keyboard demonstrator actualy demonstrating the G70 ????

Can anyone find a demo featuring Ralph on the G70 ?????
