I'm probably on my way from my Roland line of keyboards, XP-80, G-800, EM-2000, JV-1000, JV-1080.

I have about 900 midi files set up in my EM-200, is there a way to transfer these files to another keyboard, or save it to a computer with all the changes made, especially in the song header info that Roland has

Thanks

Frankie, you can save the SMF's to your computer with the header changes from your EM2000. They will play on your XP80, G800 and your JV1000[ however slow as molasses to load]. BUT will not play the header changes, because this is a system exclusive for the EM2000/G1000...Fran PS: you will be able to play the files from your computer via midi to your EM2000 and it will play the header changes. Don't forget ,If you load them on a zip again they need the Roland format[ Roland Data Base Manager or via floppy]

I believe the only way you can read it is thru system exclusive hexadecimal..Fran
