I read on the Yamaha PSR-Styles forum
that Yamaha is to announce a new PSR 4000
this Summer. I thought there was a 4000,
but what do I know.The post also talked about a new PSR 2500.

The PSR4000 is a discontinued model, built upon the same lines of the PSR8000.

The person who posted the thread about an upcoming PSR4000 and PSR2500 in July responded to queries.

He said that he got his information from a friend who works in a music shop in Jakarta, and that he is certain that his friend is not lying. He said that his friend told him that he would have more information in May.

The PSR3000 and PSR1500 are made in Indonesia. It is plausible that someone working in musical instrument sales in Indonesia might get some leaked information. We'll see.

I would be surprised if Yamaha brought out a new model.

Going back through the SynthZone posts, it looks like the PSR3000 came out in the 2nd quarter of 2004. It has only been a year. I agree with Beakybird, it is highly unlikely that there is a replacement for the PSR3000 at this time.

I wouldnt doubt if a new one came out, look at the Motifs and the Fantoms. They came out not too far apart, about 2 years. They talk about a new product and it is usually a long while before it actually goes public especially if its a leak from a worker or whatever.
