I am wondering if there are plans to make Genesys PRO 88. I have SK880 keyboard which is an excellent and I still use it. The thing about SK880 is that it has EVERYTHING and supports everything. But furthermore, it is true studio keyboard in that it has 88 hammer-action keys. I am wondering if Genesys PRO 88 is coming to replace SK880 or is there another replacement for SK880 that are based on Genesys and further developement. Thanks

I think it's great how the general music people avoid giving a response to sk880's question.

Dogman, First off, no one is avoiding his question, as I haven't been on in a while.

Sk880, The Genesys 88 is now called the Genesys Classic. It will be out shortly, although this instrument is Digital Piano and I don't think it is what you are looking for. There is no plans that I know of, of having an 88 note slab instrumnet.

dogman,

General Music always answer my questions and their presence is more frequent than any other representative presence. However, I usually give them some time because the General Music forum does not get too many questions. I could have emailed them directly, but I did not mind waiting some time.

PaulID, I would be very interested in the specs. Thanks.

Sk880user,

There are no offical specs on the Genesys Classic as of yet, they are still working on some software things, and are planning to have them ready for release when the instrument starts shipping. It is for the most part a genesys with an 88 note Graded Hammer Action with after touch, The biggest sounding sound system heard in a Digital Piano and some improvements in hardware and software over the genesys and genesys PRO.

Thanks. That is the keyboard to get in my humble opinion. I hope they do not remove any feature from the 88 version, but any extra enhancement or feature are more than welcome.

I have played this instrument as a prototype, and I am blown away by its sound, power, and features, the action is the best key action that I have played and the features they are going to add to this intrument are incredible. If you don't need to move it around, it is a must have. If I didn't work for Generalmusic, I would still have this instrument in my home over any other instrument. I really look forward to when this instrument starts shipping.
