Help!!! My ESQ'1 has been in storage for 6 years, now I get the low voltage error.
No problem replace the battery, but the keyboard also stays stuck on the software version page that come up right after the low
voltage screen. Thus you are unable to select any sounds. How can this be fixed? Someone said it needs a factory or software reset... how?

Easy enough:

ERASE ALL MEMORY AND REINITIALIZE - Hold down Record and press the top left button above the display. (only if you don't have anyting you need, 'cos it'lll reset to factory nioses and kill any sequences)

SOFT RESET - Hold down Record and press the bottom left button above the display.

SHOW SOFTWARE & HARDWARE CREDITS - Hold down Record and press Modes.

FILTER TUNING - Hold down Record and press Filter.

SHOW SOFTWARE VERSION (screen that comes up when turned on) - Hold down Record and press Master.

ANALOG TESTS - Hold down Record and press Compare.
(If you have an old software version in the ESQ-1 some of these may not apply)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the secret key reset features etc. But my ESQ'1 does not respond, I have rom version 2.20, could this make a difference? The problem is the key board never initializes, at boot up it stays on the first screen you see. So none of the buttons work there is nothing to select. I had the machine appart and replaced the battery, I also took apart the two boards under the display and buttons and cleaned it all up. While iI was in there I took an ohm meter and tested across the circuits of some of the buttons and they appear to work when depressed. I wonder if the roms are bad?
