I´ve got my ESI 4000 hocked up to a PC via SCSI and each time I start up the system the darn Plug and Play wants to find a proper driver for the sampler. Anyone know how to solve this little problem?

This was posted to the ESI4000 list on www.onelist.com If you dont' subscribe, its a great forum.

When you boot and get "found new hardware" messages, DON'T cancel them. Go through the procedure as you would normally.....but when you are presented with the list of driver catagories, pick "UNSUPPORTED DEVICE".
Unfortunately, you will have to do this 7 or 8 times, but it's worth it, because if you just cancel the "found new hardware" messages, EVERY time you boot it will find the ESI again and start throwing up messages.

Thank you very much!

Have you heard anything about a real ESi-driver for Windows that will tell the computer whats on the other end of the scsi-cable?
