i asked this before, but nobody replied...
really, i'd like to know from you guys, who owned a korg pa50 (korg pa80) and a korg pa1x: on pa50, when press fill-in buttons, if you are just a bit out of sync with the beat, so you don t press it at the very exact time, the fill in phrase breaks the natural flow of rhythm in a very anoying way, just for miliseconds, but still anoying.
is not the same with yamaha's styles.
so, any of you, please...

Yes...You are correct. I have both PSR3000 & Korg PA50 and the fills behave as you stated.

graham_uk,
since you own both of these two keyboards, i know is a overdebated problem, but just tell me, which one you like more, and why?
what you like and what do you hate about each one?
and if you were to give up on one of them, which one would that be?

Some fills on the PA-50 are out of sync, don't make sense, or go 2 bars instead of one.
This is on only a few of the styles; usually if fill #1 is bad, just use #2 or vice versa, you just need to remember which one not to use.

I cant believe a company & designers who know this FILL problem to be true would even release a keyboard like that......

although the PA80 & 60 of which I performed with a few years ago sounded Very good.....the fills & horrible navagation & folder system was absolutley the worst to manipulate on stage live. Thats why I sold them both.

adimatis. The PA50 is half the price in the UK as the PSR3000. I think the 3K is the better keyboard, just more polished in performance, but that's not de-crying that the PA50 is about the best board for the buck (better than PSR1500) but surprisingly the PA50 keybed is much better feel to play.
The reason I have added the PA50 is to marry up to the 3K on a dual stand. The combination should provide a good range of styles & sounds between them.

the info being given, i might wait some more until the next psr3xxx is released. as i work mostly in the studio, is not a big deal.
i just hope for the 3000 replacement to follow the tyros evolution, into a better keybed instrument and introduction of some new sounds, maybe better drum samples as well.
and who knows, they might add 76 keys, just to freak out the tyros 2 owners!
sorry, bad joke!
