PSR2000 songs is there any kind of a list available where one could aquire the names of these songs. Some I know but most I don't,
leaves a lot to be desired. Can these songs be deleted and songs of your choice recorded
in their place.
All the best,
Nobby

The PSR2000 doesn't come with songs. It comes with a database of styles that can be played with a certain song. If you select that song in this database, the style will come up in the correct tempo. You could just as easily select the style and adjust the tempo.
I don't think the music finder database adjusts anything besides the tempo, so I never use it gigging. I have only used it to see how the styles sound for familiar songs.
So it's kind of a nice learning tool, but I don't think that it's a necessary database for gigging.
I know there is someone who has developed an Excel program through which you can delete songs from the database, but this person I heard doesn't wish to share it at this time.
Nevertheless, after you pull up the Music Finder, you can assign any familiar song you like to a list of favorites. To pull up the list of favorites, you just press
1. MUSIC FINDER
2. NEXT
Now you can scroll through your favorite songs.

Larry, I think Nobby is referring to the songs included with the keyboard that are used primarily to illustrate what the 2000 will do. Each plays a bit of a song, but none are very lengthly. Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star is easy enough to recognize -- It is used to illustrate the Lyrics and Score functions. There are 7 "songs" in the Styles folder, 9 in the Voice folder, and 8 in the Function folder. You can see the music as these songs play, but there is no indication of title or author. In addition, they cannot be saved to floppy because of Yamaha's copy protection.

Larry & Joe,
Larry was right I was speaking about the database. I should not have refered to them as songs. They are just settings. But the song titles are not in the right order & some I have no idea what they are. I thought I had heard someone say there was a comeplete list of the titles.
A lot of these setups would work great with many of my songs many would be useless to me,
I wanted to know if it was possible to change the titles with the setups to one of my choice. And delete the ones I'll never use. I'm asking an awful lot, am I not?
Joe them demo's sound good don't they?
Anyway Merry Christmas you guys,
May the Lord Bless You this Holliday Season!
Nobby

Nobby,
Following this link you will find an Excel file that lets you to edit the PSR2000, Music Finder Database on your computer and load it back into your board.
You can delete unused titles or change their name very fast (if you know Excel of course ).
