Hi Everyone!

I am temporarily unemployed for the moment. So, I am taking advantage of cleaning out the stuff in my house.

Well, I came accross a CTK-1000 in one of my hidden closets! I thought I had gotton rid of this board many years ago but I guess not? Anyways, I plugged it in and started messing with it and you know what? Those FM sounds are awaesome! Too bad it is not GM compatible. It does transmit on 6 midi channels though. I recalled after playing it a bit that I had saved it because I always loved the latin styles on it. Very sofisticated Casio for its day which I believe was around 1993?

It also has a very good synth function and effects!

Anyone else own one of these?

Linda,

before I got my piano long time ago, I owned a few weeks a Yamaha DX-7, which also had FM as sound engine. The sound was quite nice, but as you might know it had no accompaniment and no effects section either. I Would not be surprised to have more fun with the WK. With todays sample technology there is a wider range of different instruments. But I know what what you mean, FM can sound nice too. Have fun!
