Another poor design feature of the 3000 is the MFD, which after selecting a song, reverts back to the top of the list when the MFD screen is exited. DUMB!

Right on Gary. It's a drag scrolling through that MFD database. There must be a better way to get from A to the middle of the alphabet.

Scott Yee mentioned a great idea of being able to associate MFD song titles with registrations so you can get the correct transposition and other settings as well.

It would also be nice if MFD could find styles on usb or flash media memory.

graham,if you click back onto main screen after you picked your style,as you click on ots the instruments show up,what do not show up is the instruments that are activated, until you look at the buttons left, R1,R2,mike

Gary. Re-Your query about the MDF.
This is one feature I also complained about and I was told to do the following.
From MDF press any button other than EXIT.
Example... Voice, now press exit from Voice you will see the MDF listing is just where you left it.

I think all of us will agree on this, but I think this can be simply changed in a software update.
For hardware changes we have to wait for the PSR3100. I'd like aftertouch.

Graham,

Yes, you can do this, but you will not have access to the main screen unless you press exit. And, the main screen is the only one that permits you to see what combinatiuons you have selected from the other screens. There have been times when I scrolled halfway through the 460 song MFD, selected a song, began playing it, then figured I would use the next song on the MFD after I pulled a couple from registrations. Of course you cannot access the registrations directory through anything other than the main screen, therefore, you'll have to scroll through the music finder while performing the next song. As I said earlier, just another dumb design flaw by folks who are great engineers--not performing musicians and entertainers. This would be a great post for Steve Demmning to forward to the engineering department.

Cheers,

Gary

This is not a fault. This a bad voice combination. There are many combinations that don't sound good together. If you don't like the way it sounds when you do that, stop doing it.

But keep the ideas coming.
