I have been reading this forum for months, but this is my first posting. I just want to wish you all a great turkey day, and express my appreciation for all of the cool things I have learned here. Basically, I am a guitar player who likes to used midi's for backing tracks, and I bought a psr 740 recently that I use with my laptop. I use vanBasco as a player, and cakewalk 6 to edit. Works pretty good, but I have lots more to learn. I will have more to say I'm sure, because I'm pretty much a wind bag too.

Welcome, Linn. Why not use Cakewalk to play your midis - you can load while playing; makes for easy seque to the next song.

You will find more experienced arranger keyboards players here than anywhere else on the Internet. And what makes it even better is that they are all great people who are more than willing to share their valuable expereience. That is what makes this BBS an incredible place to be.

Thanks to ALL of you for making this forum the great resource it has become over the years.

vanBasco works really good for creating song lists for different types of music, (fast, country, slow etc.) Another big reason is that the karaoke feature shows the lyrics really nice. If you haven't tried vanBasco, it would be worth your while to check it out. I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome. This forum seems to attract good people. I always find myself drawn to musicians as friends. They just seem to be nicer than the tin-ear general population.
