better?! This looks bound to invite yet another mine's better than your's fight again here.

Seriously though, it's important to know what specific features, requirements, & style of music & types of sounds you want in YOUR keyboard.

OK, now I enter the arena, haha. While I think it will be personal preference, IMHO, for me anyway, the PSR2000 I could happily play out with whereas I would not want to use just the PA50 So there!lol

OK, some may say why. I'll mention just a few things. These are my personal opinions and are not intended as a cut to those that like that PA50.

The piano and a number of instruments, in fact the general tone of the PA as compared to the PSR in thin sounding. The PA does have certain voices and styles that I like, but I feel the Yamaha is a lot better across the board. Also the PA styles have been converted quite nicely for the Yamaha's. Very subjective things here. The fills and styles tend to be better. There is a lot more support for the PSR than Korg. The Yamaha has a much easiear to use OS.

Next.lol

I tend to agree that the 2000 might be a better gigging keyboard for most of the same reasons as Scott mentioned, but at $300 plus your PA - sounds a little steep to me. Check eBay prices; I think the resale prices are closer than that. I would not advise buying anything that is less than excellent condition.

Man, that PA50 has some terrific sounds and styles in it. I had one once and really liked it, but agree that the OS in Yamaha is a bit easier for live play.

I bought the 50 at GC and returned it almost 2 years ago. It stills sits on the shelf at that store. No wonder these stores don't stock upper arranger models.

I would definitely add that to my 3K setup.

Hi zuki

I agree that the PA50 does have some good styles and sounds, but at least for me, if I was taking just one kb, it would be a PSR or Tyros. The PA would be nice as a second kb, but unless I fall on my head,, I don't think I'll get into that scenario again. But, also, the converted styles to me, sound better on the Yamaha than the Korg itself. Just my opinion folks, your welcome to yours

Hi Scott,

Definitely agree with you. As a 2nd board, the PA50 would be a winner. Just using those Triton sounds, especially the organs and synths, would make my act complete. But as a first board - no way...
