Is it possible to just send the sounds you hear from the keyboard straight to the computer without it being MDI and then record it in cubase to be audio mixdown'd?

Sure! You can use an audio cable, from your Casio 'line out' jacks, or from the headset jack, connected to the 'line in' plug on your computer's soundcard. You can also play a midi file from your computer, and use the 'out' driver (different computers name the out port differently...just try them all to get the correct one). I have played a midi file 'out' to the Casio, and at the same time...record it back to a computer audio recording program (this needs midi cables). Or, you could load a midi to the Casio by floppy disk or SmartMedia card...then record it to the computer, using just the audio cable.
