It was Yamaha PSR with a joystick to mix 4 different voices. It had small keys, 61 of them. Anybody recall this ? Model number ?

I had fond memories with that module. Then I bought Roland G-70 and then the Technics KN-2000SX. After that the KORG i-30 and then back to Yamaha PSR lines.

My first keyboard arranger was a G 800. Before that, I played left hand bass and used a drum machine. If you want to go way back, in the early 70's I played B 3 with a Rhythm Ace. There's an interesting story behind how I got started with that. The year was 1971, I was attending Florida State and was in a 4 piece band that played around. One of the gigs we had was a Wednesday night party for the local single's club. Well one Wednesday we showed up to play only to learn we had been replaced by a guy with a cordovox and drum machine. The other guys got mad and left. I stayed behind and watched what he did. He did a really good OMB. I said to myself, I can do that and went out and did just that. And I've been doing some form of it ever since. I presently play the G 1000. I really like the way the Roland keyboard feel. Here's to many more years of OMB.

My first arranger was a Casio tone CT 401..I can't find a picture , but it was their high end model in 1980-1981..I paid $700 for it.
After that a Casio CT6000, CT7000.
As a dealer I also had the Casio super model CT8000..

The first "Pro" models I had were Solon TSR4, MS100[mid 80's]..Early 90's I switched to the Rolands and Ketron X1 in 99'..

My first arranger keyboard was a Lowrey Micro Genie, about 1975 or 76. The software was extra and about the size of the 4 tracks we used to have. You plugged it into a slot in the keyboard and you had about 4 or 5 styles. Without the software you had Piano and maybe 12 or 15 other voices you could play. It was stereo. It cost 2600.00 and you could buy a pair of 35 watt amps with EQ's for another 225.00 each. The software styles were about 100.00 each.
AND...............I still have it and it still works.
Tonight I have ordered my very last Arranger Keyboard the Tyros 2 from Dan O'neil in Baltimore.

My first arranger was a Roland E38, in 1996. I liked it a lot at the time, except for that 'thwongy'(?) bass sound that rarely changed regardless of style. I've still got it stashed away in a cupboard somewhere - I'm a bit of a packrat, I guess. Hell, I've still got my first synth, a Micromoog from 1974.
