Just wondering what files I should back up from my factory-installed hard disk, in case I have to re-format at some stage.

Not having a PC cable, I suppose my only option is the floppy.

Thanks,

I just copied those folders on my XD9, shouldn't be much different on the X1. Insert a formatted floppy, go to your hard disk, select the folder you want to back up and press copy. On the XD9 you select the entire contents by pressing the + and _ value buttons simultaniously. Depending on the size of the folder, more than one floppy may be required.
