Since today you can download the new version of Styleworks 2000. The first demos of the new programs are available now. They run without a time limit, but save only Variation 1.

Only the Technics - Roland and Yamaha versions
yet, and no new topmodels added. New graphics
and 32 bits version, some new facilities, but
as long as no KN6000, no SD1, PA80 or others
like WK8, then we are about where the old one
is already?

Gunnar Jonny (or Anyone Else)

Will downloading the "new" versions of EMC mess up my current StyleWorks Universal? I don't want my full version to only start saving Variation 1. Do you know?

Hi Tom,
no, you vcan install it to where you want, and
it don't mess up anything.
No such signs here, and as I said, the graphics
are fine.
Now it also have uninstall in the Add/Remove in
the controlpanel.

Thanks for the info, Gunnar Jonny. Maybe I will download and try it tomorrow. I'm too sleepy now.
I hope Fran Carango will let those of us who bought EMC through him, know if we are eligible for the upgrade. Long sentence - see, told you I'm tired!

Hi Graham,

Perhaps you should change your region-control from UK to Germany (or dutch).Maybe you also have to add a german (or Dutch)keyboard option.

Good luck!

I don't think this problem is language related.
Wondering if it can be what OS, if it is XP who
cause this messages?
I have installed both Technics and Yamaha versions
on my Norwgian languaged OS, Win98SE without any
kind of error during install.
GJ

Btw, when reach the point where destination folder
is choosed, then it's the icon in top left corner
of the install window who is to press for continue
the setup.

I did'nt download yet... but the older roland version uses the kernel32 engine, so if there are no drivers for xp, you cannot use it on o/s xp!
You might try to set win xp in win98 compatible modus...though.

Hi!
maybe it helps:
my first attempt to install failed with a cryptic error message.
after rebooting and reinstalling ,everything
worked fine.
First impression:looks more professional, ability to listen a 'foreign' style before conversion saves a lot of time.
i am not shure if SMF to style conversion with 'odd' time signatures is improved.
Keep testing and will let you know.

I've tried installing the Yamaha version and get nowhere. The installation halts and gives me some messages in German. They look rather long. Maybe I'd better write them down and some of you multilingual folk can help me out!
