I've never heard anyone say they've used this feature. You can hookup somewhere (Yamaha?) and download files without using a computer? Is that correct? What gives? A non-benefit or what?

It will only connect to the download section of the Yamaha site, where you can download - in my opinion, pretty expensive - songs and styles.

To connect to the net, one also needs to buy the right adapter, pref. wireless.
