has anyone seen this? www.roadsound.de/news.htm

we know there is a german usb add on for 9000 and pro but here, under usb, they list psr2000 and pa80 too. Presumably they must have a hard disk add on system for the 2000?

The reference to the PSR-2000 is clearly WRONG. There is NO hard disk add on or USB possibilites for the 2000.

oh, I just wondered because many years ago, before the days when hard disks on arrangers were commonplace, a German company did an external hard disk system on the kn2000 which involved interfacing through the floppy bus, I think. Very expensive, and dumped your manufacturer's guarantee, but it sold in tiny numbers.

On the pa80 forum over at IrishActs, there has been details regarding Musictronics progress is adapting its proprietary USB hardware to the pa80. It is available, but the developer, Oliver Schwartz, still can not figure out how to avoid one problem. You must reboot (turn off, turn on) the pa80 keyboard after each and every disk management operation for the changes to show up in the pa80. At least that's how I understand it. Hopefully, this problem will be overcome.
The USB interface is not available for the PSR2000. If it was, Oliver would sell a lot of them!

that's interesting. The keysoft system updates not only the file allocation tables but also the custom scripting lists and alpha lists etc after every update operation from the pc. This means you can go directly to the keyboard with the latest changes updated. This is one advantage, but the disadvantage is the backup and restore is slower than just copying. There is an alternative usb connection but it looks as if this may never get implemented now. I wonder if the problem is similar to the pa80?
