I bought a KN2600 as a back up for my KN7000. There are so many differences between the KN7000 and KN2600 it would be very difficult to list them all here. Some differences are:
The 2600 has 64 note polyphony vice 128 for the 7000. The 2600 does not have custom style memory nor panel memory banks 1 through 10. It only has banks A, B, and C. You would not miss custom memory nor the panel memories if you use the SD card to set up for each song as most people do. The 2600 only has a jack for a single foot switch and an expression pedal vice six foot switches for the KN7000. There is no floppy disk drive with the 2600. The 2600 has fewer styles and sounds. The 2600 display is very difficult for me to see. The 2600 sound system is much inferior to the 7000. These things quickly come to my mind. There are many other differences.
Although the SD card from the KN7000 works with the KN2600, my song setups must be edited for the 2600 because the sounds available are not always compatible.
