The Panel Memory Expand filter settings are saved in the 'CURRENT PANEL' option on page 2 of the save dialogue.
It's also worth checking the status of your Data Protection settings (Customise / Data Protection / Panel Memory Expand filter. If this is set to 'ON' then the settings for the Panel Memory Expand filter will not be changed by file loading from Floppy or SD card. If it is set to 'OFF' then the Panel Memory Expand filter will be set up according to the files being loaded - that is, assuming the CURRENT PANEL option is active.
