I've read many posts that state the KN7000 doesn't offer much more than the KN6000/6500 but I find that not to be the case. The simple fact that the KN7000 has twice the polyphony of the KN6000/6500 easily makes it worth upgrading for anyone who does lots of sequencing and orchestration. 64 extra voices of polyphony can sure come in handy! Now consider that the KN7000 has an improved speaker system, some new soloist sounds, improved organ sounds, a USB port, SD card storage, and four expansion slots and that to me constitutes a decent upgrade path. The one thing Technics left off that I wish the KN7000 had is the controller ball. The controller ball is great for doing unique filter and panning FX. If they had also added sampling the KN7000 would be a major force to be reckoned with.
