Korg arrangers allow beat slicing to use in Korg styles, but for the same work you can do the same on a computer program and import into the Tyros 5 YEM. Either way, better Real Drum Kits is the best way to go and more flexible. This is my view for Live Tracks as well, too fixed and boring after a while hearing the exact same instrument and limited loops over and over again, or have to constantly buy new loop packs for different voices and patterns.

Very impressed with the power of the Tyros 5 in the past 3 years, I am looking forward to the upcoming Tyros/Genos model. I personally would prefer everything I need on-board, and maybe a few specialized expansion packs to fit my needs.

Thats why i said things are changing...

Tyros got its Yem update
Pa4x its slicing
And the upcomming ketron sd9 pro can import drumloops amd use them as audio drums..

Sometimes us clients win battles..

Cant wayt to see how a T5 update with the long expected touchscreen will make a huge step forward ...

Bachus.. Audya also we can to have Audio Drums with very easy way.
For example: We have a Audio loop (e.g. Pop Rock with tempo 120bpm).
Renames the loop (or loops with correct name to found it) (e.g. PpRockARRA@120.wav), and we copy this on Folder (User Audio Drums) of Audya HD and now is ready and synchronized with midi clock (with Time Strech method)...
We can to put in any style we want..
The difference with Audio Drums (Preset) and User Audio Drums (@) of Audya and SD9Pro also is that Audio Drums includes in a monolithic file all parts of a style (like Variations, Fills, Breaks etc)...
In User Audio Drums we have just one file per change (e.g Variation 1), however we can to have all parts of style in the different loops and we can to put one by one and to save it, to complete a style with ours Audio Drums...
On Audya we have not possibility to import Audio Drums (like monolithic preset) but only User Audio Drums... In SD9Pro we will have...
Here https://soundcloud.com/sokratis-1974/pop-rock-1?in=sokratis-1974/sets/new-ajamsonic-audio-styles a demo of a Full Audio Style that I have made for Ajamsonic..

The Audio Drums i have made with EZDrummer and I have mix it with powered plugins...
