Hi Tony, why not a Fishman soloamp. Of note is that they have come out with a new model. I have not checked it out thoroughly but the one I have is fine and it's several years old. Believe me, this system has far superior guitar/vocal sound than a Fender amp. If you need more than two channels, and perhaps you do from what you have said, he can use a mixer.
