You got it Fran. Gotta have some thump. I just got a small system from Carvin. Very small but powerful mixer w/effects and two 10" speakers. Mostly for my studio but also for very small gigs. If I wanted to go bigger I'd add on one of my Crate KX220s for bottom. You can't get "dance" floor bottom from and 8 or 10" speaker.
I notice that BOSE is steppin up the bottom end with two new subs to add on to their systems. I've heard their systems and they do sound great but when you have to start adding some more very expensive pieces to get the needed push your kind of back to square one.
