Not only is no sequencing info transmitted for the drums (ch 11 in Orla setup) but no volume commands are transmitted either. The Orla does have a volume pedal jack but the sd4 does not. So using one fc9 pedal in "cv" mode I have to route the sd4 signal through a midi pedal controller and then in to the #2 out, and the KX10 in and out of the #1 jacks using a trs cable from the line out. Or use an insert cable from the sd4 to the in + out of the #1 jacks and use the pedal out of the Orla into the #2 out jack and eliminate the midi pedal controller.

Lots of wires and peripheral equipment. Again, if the KX10 transmitted volume info thru midi I could merge both devices then use the pedal controller with one cable to the pedal.

I think I'll just learn the left hand chording on a standard keyboard- easier said than done for a lifelong accordion player though. But Ketron has made an "8" version of their keyboards (xd8, sd8) for chromatic accordion players with buttons left and right- why not one like the Orla with buttons on the left and keys on the right? I would think there are more accordion players using piano accordions.. but then Ketron tends not to look past Europe. I'm betting they could cut into roland's v-accordion sales with it.
